Confirmations & Changes: Confirmation letters are printable from the last page of the booking process and are also automatically emailed to the guest’s e-mail address. You’ll find a Reservation ID number, which will be handy in the event you will want to return to the site, or your hotel’s web site and change your reservation in the future.
Refunds: Refunds are handled by the property that you book. You will be able to view the property’s refund and cancellation policies in the booking process, prior to your final booking order/confirmation.
Payment Methods: Payment methods may differ by property, but for your convenience, most properties accept major credit cards. The accepted forms of payment are indicated on the automated booking screen, once you’ve selected a property and entered your dates. You can also learn more about the property’s accepted forms of payment from their online profile, All Lodging Listings.
Rates: All rates are shown in USD. Rates are subject to 9.5% government tax and an additional fixed rate service charge (or gratuity) may be added to your hotel bill. Please see individual hotel policies on service charges, which are subject to change.
The rates you will find in this site are generated directly from each property. You’ll find a variety of different types of lodging and pricing in Bermuda. You’ll also note that depending on the type of room you choose and your travel dates (high season or off season), the rates may fluctuate. High season is normally considered from April through November and low season, November through April. However, anytime is a good time to visit Bermuda!
Special Requests: During the booking process, you’ll find a screen where you can enter special requests. Unless otherwise noted, the property will handle special requests on an individual basis and communicate the availability, possibility or confirmation of your special request directly to the guest via e-mail or phone.

SynXis Corporation provides reservation services to over 4,000 hotels, resorts and lodging service providers worldwide. SynXis is in the business of facilitating transactions between hotels and their guests.
SynXis headquarters is located at 7926 Jones Branch Drive, Suite 1000, McLean, VA 22102. SynXis also has offices in Denver, Colorado and in the Amsterdam area in The Netherlands. What Is Our Relationship to the Hotel whose Site You Are Visiting?
SynXis Corporation is a strategic partner of the hotel chain, or individual hotel, (always referred to as the "Hotel" hereafter), whose website you are visiting. SynXis is under contract to provide the Hotel with
SynXis' proprietary website booking engine that will enable you to check the latest rates and room availability for the dates you select. Our booking engine then allows you to request and make a reservation and receive an immediate confirmation from us on behalf of the hotel. Our booking engine is referred to as "Book-A-Rez(r)" which is a registered trademark owned by SynXis(r) Corporation. Our corporate name, "SynXis", is also a registered trademark.
We have a single-minded commitment to providing outstanding service to you as the guest of our Hotel partner.
When you clicked on the screen to indicate that you wished to make a reservation while visiting this hotel's website, you were seamlessly linked to SynXis' website. Once you have entered our site, SynXis' booking engine can then act on your inquiry to display the rooms that are available and the rates that apply. When a room is available at the rate requested, the SynXis booking engine will accept your request for a reservation and will issue you a confirmation number. At all times while you are completing the reservation you will be using the booking engine hosted from our web site. Our site will always be identified by the statement "Reservations Made Easy – SynXis Corporation - Book-A-Rez(r)" accompanied by a link to this Identification and Privacy Statement. This Privacy Policy applies only to SynXis' Book-A-Rez site. When you navigate from the SynXis site back to a previous site such as the Hotel you were visiting, or if you click on a link and navigate to a new or different site, the SynXis privacy policy no longer applies, and the privacy policy of the owner or sponsor of that site will apply to your visit to and use of that site.
How Does SynXis Use My Personal Information?
Personal Identifying Information
"Personal Information" is information through which you can be identified. In order to provide you with reservation services, SynXis collects certain Personal Information as described below.
Visitors to SynXis' site have the ability to search for rates and availability at the Hotel without providing any Personal Information. However, once you have decided on an available reservation, you will be asked to provide Personal Information. This will include your name, address, email address and other contact information, as well as a credit card number, billing address, and the card's expiration date. The credit card number will be used solely to make and secure your reservation as detailed in the Hotel's reservation, deposit and late arrival guarantee policies.
Some Hotels may post these policies on our site on the page where you indicate you wish to make a reservation. If these policies are not on our site, you may obtain them by making an inquiry to the Hotel.
Your Personal Information is required by the Hotel to complete a proper business record of the reservation contract between you and the Hotel. Your Personal Information contained in that record is subject to the privacy policy of the Hotel. You can obtain the Hotel's privacy policy from the web site you visited or by directly contacting the Hotel.
SynXis will also retain your personal information and the confirmation of the reservation as its business record of the transaction. Your Personal Information contained in that record is subject to this privacy policy.
We do not sell or exchange your Personal Information. We do not provide your Personal Information to any other persons except in the following situations:
(1) to establish your reservation (and to arrange for the purchase of other services, such as dining or recreation arrangements you have requested); (2) to enable businesses that may perform functions on behalf of our Hotels and their guests in connection with a reservation, such as a guest's travel agent, group or tour operator, and companies that process credit card transactions; (3) to comply with a court order, subpoena, search warrant or other legal process and to comply with legal, regulatory or administrative requirements of any governmental authorities; (4) to protect and defend SynXis, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and all of their officers, directors, employees, attorneys, agents, contractors, and partners, in connection with any legal action, claim or dispute; (5) to enforce the terms of use of the SynXis web site; (6) to prevent imminent physical harm; and (7) to effect a transfer of Personal Information in connection with the sale, assignment, or transfer of any hotel property or web site.
Recognition of Repeat Visitors
As a convenience to you and the Hotel (or to the chain of hotels of which it is an affiliate) our Book-A-Rez(r) booking engine has the ability to recognize that you are a return visitor to our booking engine site. We accomplish this by recognizing that the email address and password you have entered is the same as the email address and password that you entered during a prior session when you were linked to our site. This feature displays earlier Personal Information entered by you so you can skip those parts of the Personal Information reentry process so you can check availability and rates quickly, and more promptly book a reservation. As a security measure we will ask that you reenter the credit card or other payment information when you are ready to book. We do this to assist you in making your inquiries and your next bookings at hotels and chains where you have previously stayed and for no other purpose. Because we do not provide your Personal Information to third parties except as disclosed herein, we do not offer you the ability to opt out of the feature that recognizes your email address. You may avoid the Book-A-Rez recognition feature by entering our site as a new user, using a different email address, or by making the reservation directly with the Hotel. And, of course you are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account information.
Security
Personal Information collected by SynXis Web Sites is stored on servers that are protected by firewalls and other standard security procedures. SynXis uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software which encrypts information you submit, and takes other measures to prevent unauthorized access to confidential information. The secure servers are not generally accessible by unauthorized third parties but you should be aware that SynXis cannot give an absolute guarantee or assurance in this regard. You should also remain mindful that, as with all e-mail sent via the Internet, your information may be intercepted. You cknowledge that SynXis will not be responsible for any intercepted information sent via the Internet, and you release us from any claims arising out of or related to the use of intercepted information in any unauthorized manner.
Communications
SynXis may use the information collected by us to: (1) process and make a record of reservations; (2) process purchases and make a record of purchases; (3) enable us to contact you with updated information about your reservation; and (4) to respond to inquiries.
Access
The Personal Information that is maintained by our web site is limited to that which is accessible to you when you revisit a Hotel or affiliate of a Hotel where you have stayed before and are again linked to our site. You have the ability to change any of the Personal Information displayed there when our site recognizes your email address and displays the data. Notwithstanding this, if you believe that any information or business record held by SynXis about you is not correct and you cannot access it, please send an e-mail message to diropsl@synxis.com or mail a letter to BAR Operations Department, SynXis Corporation, 7926 Jones Branch Drive, Suite 1000, McLean, VA 22102.
Sale of Site Or Assets
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to interfere with SynXis' ability to transfer all or part of its business and/or assets (including the booking engine site) to an affiliate or independent third party that is in the business of managing reservations for lodging goods and services, or a similar or related business, at any time, for any purpose, without any limitation. SynXis specifically reserves the right to transfer Personal Information collected from its sites to the buyer of that portion of its business as a business record that is an integral part of the business or assets sold or conveyed.
Cookies
Our site may collect information about you that is not personally identifiable through the use of cookie technology. A cookie is a small file that contains information sent by our web site to your hard disk by your computer's browser. Cookies store information that our site may use to facilitate your future visits and to gather web site statistical data, such as the type of browser used by you and which of our pages you visit and your Internet provider's domain name and country.
We also may use cookies to provide a unique identifier to your computer so that we can generate statistics regarding usage of the Book-A-Rez site, such as the percentage of repeat visitors and other general statistics. The unique identifiers are not matched with any Personal Information. Moreover, cookies used by SynXis do not store or obtain any Personal Information about you.
To browse the Internet and our site without cookies, you can configure your browser to reject all cookies or to notify you when each cookie is offered so that you can accept or reject each cookie, provided, however, you will not be able to conduct some transactions if you disable your browser from accepting cookies.
Age Restrictions
Our web site is for guests of Hotels to make and revise reservations. Our site is a business site intended for persons who are shopping for reservations and who have the legal capacity to enter into a contract for lodging under applicable law. Accordingly, the provisions of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act do not apply to SynXis' Web Site.
Changes
This Privacy Policy was posted on February 25, 2003. SynXis Corporation reserves the right to change, modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time. When the Privacy Policy is changed, modified and/or amended, the revised Privacy Policy will be posted on our web site. Any revised Privacy Policy will only apply prospectively to Personal Information collected or modified after the effective date of the revised policy.
Online Security: Book online with confidence. We use the most secure online connection available to encrypt data that is collected on the site. This way we can insure that your personal information remains safe and confidential.
