Bermuda’s only ultra-casual resort, 9 Beaches includes 84 private cabanas stretched over 18 acres on the westernmost tip of Bermuda. Some guests have called it, “Heaven on Earth for the down to Earth.”
Our comfortably chic, soft-sided, and air-conditioned cabanas are built on stilts with wood floors and a veranda facing the ocean. A few Cabanas even perch over the sapphire sea and Plexiglas floor panels reveal tropical fish fluttering underfoot. Ceiling fans and tropical breezes maintain comfortable temperatures, as well as a stand up air-conditioning unit.
Each cabana has a small bathroom with a shower (no tub). The living area includes a queen size bed, a futon sofa that doubles as a second sleeping place, a table and two chairs, a coffee table, mini refrigerator, a flash light, bathrobes and a hair dryer. The verandas each have two armchairs and a table. Clock radios and coffee makers are also available in the cabanas. As a place to relax, unwind and enjoy the sounds of Mother Nature, our cabanas do not include TV’s.
9 Beaches offers two dining facilities — Hi Tide Restaurant, the main dining room, and Dark ‘n Stormy’s, our beach bar right at the water’s edge. A la Cart is 9 Beaches “roving room service” that brings food and drinks to guests anywhere on the property. You also can enjoy cocktails at Um Um’s Bar.
Fantasea Diving and Water Sports offers you the widest variety of land and water activities of any hotel in Bermuda. Snorkel for the day, rent an underwater scooter, paddle a kayak around Daniel’s Head Island or out to the Vixen shipwreck. You can even learn to Scuba right at 9 Beaches from Fantasea’s PADI Certified Instructors. Hobie-catamarans, wind surfing, and jet skiing are available, too. Instructors at Fantasea Diving and Water Sports provide snuba (a scuba and snorkeling hybrid), kayak, snorkeling, underwater scooter and jet ski tours.
9 Beaches has Wi-Fi (high-speed wireless connections) over various hot spots around the resort and there’s an Internet station in Centre Stage for use free of charge. All guests also receive a Bermuda cell phone (one per cabana) for free local calls and to avoid incoming international call roaming charges. Important numbers such as the Concierge, A la Cart food & beverage service and our Duty Manager — are pre-programmed.
