Rosedon Hotel is one of Bermuda’s finest small hotels, conveniently located within walking distance of Hamilton. It was constructed in 1906 as the private residence of the Thompson family of England. The manor house originally had five bedrooms. Present owners, the Kitson family, have operated Rosedon as a hotel since 1950. Since then, they added four different wings to the historic building.
Rosedon now boasts 47 individually decorated rooms with private baths, refrigerators, coffee makers, radio, TV, safety deposit boxes, telephones, hair dryers, ceiling fans, irons and ironing boards and wireless internet. Most rooms feature a verandah or patio with direct access to the pool and garden.
Complimentary afternoon tea is served daily and a free round-trip taxi is provided for guests who wish to enjoy the nearby South Shore Beach, a quick eight-minute ride away. Rosedon Hotel is an intimate hotel that exudes casual elegance. Its staff members are almost all Bermudian, known for their warm friendly nature. The average length of service of a Rosedon staff member is 20 years—guests can be quite assured of excellent, friendly service.
