Music lovers take note: The Annual Bermuda Music Festival in 2008 will be bigger and better than ever.

International superstars and homegrown talent take the spotlight from Bermuda Music Festival in October. Please check back for exact dates and ticket information. Venue: Royal Naval Dockyard.

Enjoy R&B, jazz and soul artists. This popular annual event attracts islanders and guests who have grooved to artists such as Kenny G, Sheila Smith and Seal in a truly inspiring outdoor environment for three fabulous days and nights. Previous performing artists have included The O'Jays, Lionel Richie, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley, Smokey Robinson, Steve Harvey and the 2007 headliner Earth, Wind & Fire. Also, Chaka Khan, Diana Krall, India Arie, Kenny G, Roberta Flack, Joss Stone, Patty LaBelle, Al Green, Chris Botti and legendary guitarist George Benson.

The Onion Stage in the Victualling Yard provides a spectacular venue for local cuisine and entertainment. Here festivalgoers are treated to an eclectic mixture of Bermuda's best and brightest musicians, whose performances are interrupted only by the aroma of local culinary delights.

"We were tremendously pleased with the results of last year's festival, particularly the artists' performances, both local and international," says the Hon. Ewart Brown, JP, MP, Bermuda's minister of tourism and transport. "Overall success in the development and expansion of the festival with the introduction of the Victualling Yard and the Food Court, the Onion Stage, the Trophy Suites and Club Pass Seats, also proved to be good introductions to the festival format. We were pleased with the visitor attendance, and it is our goal to work hard to make this year's event even better."
