Two iconic towers lure shoppers to this font of all unique and fabulous souvenirs and gifts.
With its 100-foot-tall towers and 3-foot-thick walls, the Clocktower Mall is the most eye-catching building at Dockyard. The southern tower — the clock tower — has a clock face on all four sides. The northern tower — the bell tower — is faced with a tidal indicator to assist ships as they move in and out of the Dockyard basins. At some point, the main bell of the clock in the southern tower was moved to the northern tower and mounted in the open belfry, where it was sounded at the start and the end of each workday and used as a fire alarm.
The modern Clocktower Mall opened in 1990 with just 10 stores. Today several of Bermuda's major department stores have a presence at Dockyard, which bursts with interesting shops and boutiques. Find many of them here in the charming Clocktower Mall, offering unique souvenirs and Bermudian gifts. The mall opens seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from April 1 to Dec. 31 — later on Monday evening during Destination Dockyard — and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Jan. 1 to March 31.
